About
Patricia Caruana is a Graphic Designer, Visual Storyteller, and Brand Strategist based in Annapolis, Maryland, serving clients nationwide. With over 12 years of professional experience, Patricia specializes in brand identity, digital design, UX/UI, and print collateral, helping organizations and entrepreneurs communicate with purpose, precision, and beauty. A graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design with honors, Patricia developed a passion for creating design that’s both aesthetic and accessible. Her senior thesis—focused on improving visual accessibility in public transportation—earned recognition at MICA’s Design Excellence showcase and set the tone for a career grounded in social impact and inclusivity. Patricia’s professional journey has spanned agencies, startups, and her own studio. After advancing to Art Director at Redline Creative in Washington, D.C., and leading a full rebrand at VitalRoot Health & Wellness, she launched her own studio, Caruana Creative, in 2019. Through her firm, she partners with clients across wellness, arts, education, tech, and nonprofit sectors to build intentional design systems rooted in research, empathy, and collaboration. Her work has been featured in Print Magazine and honored with the AIGA DC 50 Award for Brand Identity. Beyond client projects, Patricia serves as a mentor with AIGA Baltimore, a panel speaker on design leadership, and a guest lecturer at the University of Maryland. Whether creating a brand identity or leading a creative workshop, Patricia brings depth, clarity, and humanity to every design she touches.
